Accounting

Grades 9-12

Available As Live with Limited AYOP (Both Enroll in this Same Course):

Live Classes meet in an online classroom with a volunteer teacher.  The live class portion may include things such as lecture time, class discussion, videos, review games, and homework help.  Exact content depends on the class.

Although we will post this course as an AYOP class as well as live, you wil get the most out of the class if you can do it live.

This is a new class build this year and most AYOP resources will not be available until the time frame the live class uses them.

The AYOP resources this year will largely be simply a checklist to manage your work schedule.  After the lessons are covered in live class, we will try to post any supplemental resources such as videos or Quizizz games that are used in the live class, but they will be limited this year due to being a brand new class.

How many resources are available for BOTH the live and AYOP class depends on how many PARENTS we get to help on the Volunteer Build Team.  We NEED help across all classes to prep courses for fall and create new classes for future years.

LIVE AND AYOP CLASS CONTENT

Classes are not a replacement for the curriculum.  You will need the Required Resources listed in the course description.  Our course pages include supplemental resources to help you as you take the class.  How many resources are available depend on how many VHSG members participate in submitting resources on the Volunteer Build Team.  Our courses are a TEAM EFFORT and how much is there for the kids depends on YOU!

Each parent is responsible for overseeing and grading your own child's homework.

Accounting

Grades 9-12

This is an accounting course based on the Alpha Omega LifePac Accounting.

Live class will be an overview of the material, class discussion, homework help, and possibly some review games.

The course page will have a weekly homework checklist to help students manage their schedule.

Parents will be responsible for grading their own child's homework and tests.

This course has some more challenging content.  To get the most out of the class, students should do their best to maintain the pace of the live class so they aren't behind and can ask questions in class as the material is covered.

This is a brand new build this year, and there will be limited AYOP resources available beyond the homework checklists.  After the lessons are covered in live class, we will attempt to post any supplemental resources to the course page that are used in live class such as videos, helpful websites, or review games.

AYOP students will not be able to work ahead of the live students, since content may not yet be available.
